Adam Thomas Scholz, age 46 of Lincoln, NE passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026 in Lincoln surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on May 29, 1979 to Thomas and Shirley (Clark) Scholz in York, NE.
He had a deep love for the finer and fun things in life. From collecting jewelry and admiring cars to enjoying a good all-you-can-eat buffet surrounded by people he loved. He never missed a chance to dance or celebrate, and wherever there was music or laughter, you could count on him to be there. His laugh was truly contagious, filling every room with warmth and joy, and he had a rare gift for making everyone feel like a friend. His kindness and genuine spirit touched so many lives, and he will be remembered for the light and happiness he brought to all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother Shirley Scholz of McCool Junction, NE; siblings Theresa (Lee) Danczak of Johnston, IA; Amanda (Eddie) Sheffield of McCool Junction; Clark Scholz of York; Stuart Scholz of McCool Junction; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 28, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in York with the Reverends Father John Sullivan and Father Eric Clark officiating. Following the Mass, interment will be held in the St. Joseph Cemetery east of York. Visitation will be held from 1-8 pm on Friday at the mortuary. A rosary will be said at 7 pm on Friday at the Metz Chapel, with family greeting friends one hour prior to the rosary. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
