Alan Chrisman, age 72 of McCool Junction, NE, died Saturday, January 3, 2026 in Henderson, NE. He was born on July 6, 1953 to Arnold and Darlene (Klemsz) Chrisman in York, NE. On June 21, 1972 he was united in marriage to Marla Perkins in McCool Junction.
Alan was a long-time farmer in York County, and enjoyed taking care of God’s creations through farming. He was confirmed in York’s Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, and attending their activities. It could be said that he never met a stranger. Alan enjoyed attending farm shows, livestock sales, and looking at farm machinery.
He is survived by his wife Marla of McCool Junction, children Chad (Dana) Chrisman of Seward, NE, Nicole of Lincoln, NE, Trent (Andrea) Chrisman of Colorado Springs, CO, and Cody (Niki) Chrisman of Henderson, grandchildren Olivia Behrend of San Antonio, TX, Kelsey (Kirkland) Doht of McCool Junction, Kaylee (Michael) Lauber of Friend, NE, Jarren (Annie) Chrisman of Seward, NE, Jaiden Chrisman of Oklahoma City, OK, Jace Chrisman of Kansas City, KS, Mya Chrisman of Colorado Springs, CO, Everly, Marshall, Lainey, Marli, and Hayes Chrisman, all of Henderson, brothers Terry (Kathy) Chrisman of McCool Junction, and Kent (Diane) Chrisman of York, sister-in-law Gayle Chrisman of McCool Junction.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Rick, and great-granddaughter Blake Chrisman.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2026 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York. Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at McCool Junction. Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m., Thursday, with the family greeting friends from 6-7:30 p.m. that evening, all at Metz Mortuary in York. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
