Alice Yunevich age 84 of York, NE died Friday, September 25, 2026 at Osceola, NE. She was born March 28, 1942 in Crescent, OK to Ellis and Lillie May (Rogers) Fields. On March 13, 1965 she was married to Loran Yunevich at Oklahoma City OK.
She was a member of East Hill Church of Christ in York where she enjoyed visiting with her church friends. Alice thoroughly loved being with her family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren with all of their activities. Alice was a ‘giver’ as she was always opening her home to friends and family alike. She and Loran gave of their time and funds in helping others.
She is survived by her husband Loran of York, daughter Deborah Yunevich of York and son Ken (Jodie) Yunevich of McCool Jct, NE. Grandchildren include: Brittney (Allen) Stefenelli of Clarksville, TN; Katherine Yunevich of York; Megan (Chris) Fifield of McCool Jct; Lucienne (Will) Cappa of Marble, CO; Isaac (Hailey) Yunevich of Wasilla, Alaska; and Harrison (Kinley) Yunevich of York. Great grandchildren include: Joshua Stefenelli and Aria Stefenelli of Clarksville; Mason Fifield, Noah Fifield and Lorelai Fifield of McCool Jct; August Cappa of Marble; and Caiden Yunevich, Everly Yunevich and Malachi Yunevich of Wasilla. Also, her “as-close-as-a-sister” cousin Verna Mae Kirkham of Harrah, OK; sisters-in-law; cousins; nephews; nieces; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
A short memorial and prayer service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday evening, September 29, 2026 at the Metz Chapel in York. Visitation will be from 3-7:00 pm with her family present to greet guests. Alice will be cremated with private family inurnment at a later date. Memorials to Disabled American Veterans or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
