She was born Aug. 15, 1928 to Alpheus and Velma (Trussell) Foote in Benedict. On Feb. 27, 1955, Althea was united in marriage to Stanley Harrison in York.
Teddy had worked as a waitress at Ideal Café, Chances R, and The Tiffin. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, she went on the road with Stanley while he was driving truck. Teddy loved being outside and camping. She enjoyed crocheting and working on word search books. She was a member of the Fairmont Community Church.
Teddy is survived by her husband, Stanley of Fairmont; children, Paul (Donna) Harrison of Wichita, Kan., Sylvia (David) Warren of York, Martin Harrison of Sutton and Mike (Diane) Harrison of Henderson; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Willard, Wilford, Leonard, Floyd and Bruce and one sister Marjorie Tavelin.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014 at Metz Chapel in York. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, York. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1 – 9 p.m. with family greeting friends and neighbors from 6:30 – 8 p.m. that evening. Memorials may be directed to Fairmont Rescue, Fairmont Community Church, or donor’s choice. Casual attire is requested.
