Ardith Hinze
Ardith ‘Ardie’ D. Hinze, age 89, of York, NE, died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at York. She was born April 23, 1928 in York to Elroy and Loyola (Gardner) Brooke. On October 12, 1949, she was united in marriage to Gerald W. Hinze in York. Ardie worked for York Public Schools in the Math Department from 1969 – 1990. She was a member of W.I.F.E., the Red Hatters, St. Joseph Catholic Church Altar Society, and the P.T.A. Ardie enjoyed cooking, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Dr. Randy (Deborah) Hinze of Columbus, NE, son Scott (Brenda) Hinze of Waco, NE, daughter Chere (Ken) Epke of Papillion, NE, seven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren, brother-in-law William Preuit, of Wichita, KS, along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry, and a sister, Shirley.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 20, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in York with the Reverend Monsignor James Reinert officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery in York. A Rosary service at St. Joseph Catholic Church was held the evening before. Memorials may be directed to Donate Life or to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
