Bernice Gotta – Metz Mortuary

Bernice L. Gotta age 93 of York, NE died Sunday, April 21, 2019 at York. She was born November 15, 1925 at Ironwood, Michigan to Fred and Minnie (Knutilla) Cartie.  On March 9, 1946 she was married to John Gotta at Kenosha, WI.  Bernice worked in several factories over her career including Simmons Mattress Company and Coors Ceramics in Colorado. She was a member of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church in York, enjoyed water aerobics and attending York Senior Center activities.

She is survived by her sons  James (Jeannie) Gotta of Westminster, CO and Alan (Cindy) Gotta of Waco, NE, daughter Pam Mosley of Ocala, FL, 8 grandchildren,  25 great grandchildren, one nephew and two nieces, and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one nephew, and one niece.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Mark Haefner officiating. Entombment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheatridge, CO on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., Mountain Time. Visitation will be from 1-8:00 p.m., Sunday with her family greeting friends from 6-7:30 p.m., at the mortuary that evening. Memorials may be directed to the Nebraska Lutheran High School at Waco.
