Beth Allyn Epp

    Beth Allyn Epp, age 85 of Henderson, NE, died Sunday, June 23, 2024 in Henderson at Legacy Square where she has lived for over 15 years. She was born on August 30, 1938 to Henry J. and Lucille F. (Ridgeway) Sander in Seiling Ok.  On June 6, 1958 she was united in marriage to Joel Edward Epp in Seiling, OK. They were married for 62 years before Joel passed away in 2021.

    Beth got her teaching certificate and taught 8th grade in Okarche, OK for a few years and also taught in Hennessey, OK.  She also worked for many years as a bookkeeper at an office supply store in Kingfisher, OK.  Beth loved to read, if you walked in her room she always had a book in her hand or was reading the newspaper.  She and Joel enjoyed traveling to see their kids. They visited Oregon, Kentucky, California and Montana.  When they moved to Henderson in 2004, they were always on some excursion, they drove all over Nebraska, finding the best restaurants and quaint little shops. Beth enjoyed looking at the birds out her window at her bird feeder.  She enjoyed giving the staff at Legacy Square a little love and a lot of sass!  Beth also enjoyed people watching, gardening, flowers, and her animals, especially dogs.

    She is survived by her sons David Epp of Henderson, NE, J. (Lisa) Epp of Henderson, NE, Shawn (Bre) Epp of Canby, OR, grandchildren Aaron (Katie) Epp of Whitewater, KS, Caleb (Allyson) Epp of Henderson, NE, Emmitt Epp, Ethan Epp both of Canby, OR, great-grandchildren Oliver Epp, Theodore Epp, both of Whitewater, KS, sister Katie (Doane) Yawger of Merced, CA and brother Wayne (Janetha) Sander of North Stonington, CT and many nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Lucille Sander and husband Joel Epp.

    Memorial services will be held on Monday July 8th, 2024 at 10 a.m. at York Evangelical Free Church – 2121 N. Delaware Ave. York, NE. Beth was cremated, there is no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Epp Family.
