She was a long-time member of Jehovah’s Witness faith and was a homemaker.
Betty was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1974. She was a Regular Pioneer since February of 1991. She enjoyed teaching others about the hope for the future and the blessings that Jehovah’s Kingdom will bring to the earth. She believed in the resurrection and that even if she was to die that Jehovah would bring her back to life in the paradise when we will not have to worry about sickness and death anymore.
Betty is survived by her husband Arden of York, children Arden James LaShell, Jr. of Belleville, KS, Judith Celeste-LaShell James of Omaha, NE, Nancy LaShell of Lincoln, Jackie (Gregory “Todd”) Herman of Topeka, KS, Karen Mae (Jeff) Brummett of Kansas City, MO, and Daren (Juanita) LaShell of Hemet, CA, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters Margie Surber of Sydney, NE, and Rosezella (Don) Edwards of Alliance, NE, and her brother Vernon (Jane) Wilson of Stockville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Connie “Susanne” Whited, and granddaughter Heather Jacynth Howsden.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17th at the Kingdom Hall in York. It was Bettys wishes to be cremated. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
