Beulah stayed busy with her children’s activities while they were growing up and had served as a 4-H leader for many years. She also worked at Nebraska Lutheran High School in Waco as the kitchen manager.
Beulah’s love of agriculture inspired her involvement in the Nebraska Farm Bureau where she was a past president and a member of WIFE (Women Involved in Farm Economics). Beulah was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church and LWML.
Beulah loved the land and promoted agriculture at every opportunity. Her love for the land continued throughout her life with her garden and flowers. She was a Master Gardener and truly enjoyed her garden friends and garden trips.
She is survived by her children: Carmen and husband Frank Kaminski of Salt Lake City, UT, Raymond Gocke of Waco, James Gocke and wife Kathy of Bondurant, IA, JoAnn Schuelke of Urbandale, IA, and David Gocke of Loveland, CO. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Carol Garvie of Caldwell, ID; and former husband Darrell Gocke of Waco.
Preceding her in death are her parents, infant son Ronald, and brother, Robert.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church in Waco. Interment will be in the Waco Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-9 pm Thursday and 9 am-9 pm Friday at the mortuary. The family will greet friends Friday evening from 6:30-8:00.
