    Bonnie Lee Hale, age 78 of York, NE died Saturday January 5, 2019 at Lincoln, NE. She was born August 15, 1940 to Erwin and Hazel (Heiden) Otte at Fort Collins, CO. On October 9, 1960, she was united in marriage to Ernest Ray Hale in York, NE.

    Bonnie was a teller and personal banker at York State Bank. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York. She was a member of the Friendship Club, Ruth Circle, Lions Club, and belonged to several card clubs. She often volunteered for blood drives and elections and also enjoyed visiting shut-ins and gardening.

    She is survived by her son Brian (Kim) Hale of Bradshaw, NE, daughter Teresa (Jeff) Hillman of Omaha, NE, stepson Michael Hale of North Carolina; grandsons: Shawn (Jem) Hale of York, Cameron (Madison) Hale of Clive, IA, Cody Hale of Pleasant Dale, NE, and Quin Hale of Bradshaw; and great grandchildren: Caleb, Kenzie, Keegan, Aidan, Wyatt, Katherine, and Kayden. She is also survived by her sister Ina (Don) Cotner of Omaha, one niece, and special friends Mary Crawford and Lois Wellman.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Dianna Lynn, Hannah Finnan and unborn child (fiancé to Cody Hale), and nephew Scott Cotner.

    Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, York with the Reverends Mike Neidow and Ben Kaiser officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, York. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1-8 pm, with the family greeting friends from 5:30-7:30 that evening at the mortuary.
