Christina Ewing – Metz Mortuary

Christina “Chris” Marie Ewing, age 67, of York, NE died Monday July 5, 2021 at York. She was born September 25, 1953 in Ravenna, NE to Earl Elmer and Helen Elaine (Novotne) English. Chris worked at Nebraska Land Auto Glass, Casey’s General Store, and the Elm’s Trailer Park in York. She also managed hotels in the York area. She was united in marriage to Terry Ewing. They were later divorced.

​Chris was a loving mother and grandmother, who took every opportunity to spend time with her family. She also enjoyed making wreaths and stained glass.

She is survived by her son Jason Ewing of Lincoln, daughters Michelle Ewing of York, and Susan Ewing of Lincoln. Her grandchildren include Elizabeth, Josephine, Damion, Darius, Andrew, Kyleigh, and Malik; great-grandchild Kristina Marie. She is also survived by her brother Brad (Sarah) English, sister Doylene (Bob Keech) Christian, boyfriend Carl Thompson, ex-husband Terry (Margaret) Ewing of Hickman, NE, and Herbert Thompson, along with her nieces and nephews, Amber (Naor Shvartzapel) Christian, Brian (Abby) Christian, Wendy Christian, Heather (Brian) Haug, and Austin Lundquist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kevin English, and sister Kathy Lundquist.

Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Metz Chapel in York. Private family inurnment. It was Chris’s wish to be cremated so there will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to her family for later designation.
