Connie enjoyed many interests. She loved growing flowers, especially African Violets, collecting lead crystal, classical music and was a cat lover. She was an avid reader (Murder mysteries and Civil War history were favorites) and was fascinated with her family genealogy.
Connie’s deepest loves were her family, they were her everything. Whether it was attending weekend auctions with son Kevin or ‘supervising’ daughter Merrilee’s sewing of quilts, Connie cherished time with both.
Grandsons Ryan and Reid always enjoyed sharing and trying to match their Grammie’s quick wit as well as talking football. After two years of Covid, Connie finally met her great-grandchildren, Sam and Kathleen Roemmich, Christmas 2021.
Connie is survived by her son, Kevin Menefee of Bellevue, NE and her daughter Merrilee Roemmich of York, grandsons Ryan (Shay) Roemmich of Baltimore, Maryland and Reid Roemmich of Lincoln, NE. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Sam and Kathleen Roemmich. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Exeter. Cremation. No viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers or plants memorials may be sent to York Adopt-A-Pet.
