He served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army. Dale worked as a Petro Chemical Engineer and was employed by Parson’s, Fluor Corporation, Bechtel, Tyree Construction both overseas and domestically for many years. This work gave him the opportunity to travel to Iran, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Indonesia, Helsinky, Germany and France. Dale was Roswitha’s full-time caregiver, but he enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his dogs.
Dale is survived by his wife Roswitha of York, sons Tom (Diane) Crisman of Escondido, CA, and Michael (Reba) Crisman of North Platte, NE; daughters, Rose (Dr. Dan) Growney of York, and Sylvia (Al) Crisman-Kasiak, of Ormand Beach, FL. His grandchildren include: Trevor Crisman of North Platte, Tim Growney of Berkley, CA, Paul Growney of York, and Jessica (Mark) Growney Gonzales of San Antonio, TX. His great-grandchildren include Alejandro and Evora Gonzalez; brother Raymond (Linda) Crisman of Omaha, NE, and sisters Lorraine Bagstadt of Kansas City, MO, and Jeannette Lewis of Omaha, NE, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wayne, sister-in-law June Crisman, and brothers-in-law Wayne Bagstadt, and Mr. Lewis.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Metz Chapel in York. Dale’s service will be webcast live on Metz Mortuary’s Facebook Page. Cremation. No viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to his family for later designation.
