Danny Rose – Metz Mortuary

    Danny LaVerne Rose, age 77, of Utica, Neb., passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Utica.

    He was born January 21, 1938 at Wray, Colo. to Lloyd “Hank” and Nellie (Little) Rose. Danny served in the Army and had worked at the Pork Plant in York for 31 years. He belonged to the York American Legion and an archery club. Danny enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.  

    Survivors include two sons, Rodney (Jaime) Rose of Lincoln, Neb. and Craig Rose also of Lincoln; two daughters, Kathy Renquist of Lincoln and Debra Hamilton-Rose of San Francisco, Calif.; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister; two brothers; son-in-law Tom; and granddaughter Erica Lulow.

    Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Metz Chapel in York.  Private family inurnment. There will be no viewing or visitation as it was Danny’s wish to be cremated. Memorials may be directed to the Lincoln VA.​
