Darold ‘Butch’ Dinkelman, age 67 of Waco, NE, died Wednesday, September 3, 2025 in Lincoln, NE. He was born on November 15, 1957 to Darold F. and Irene (Hutto) Dinkelman in Marysville, CA. On September 3, 1995 he was united in marriage to Shelly Swails in Waco.
Butch was a metal fabricator at Even Temp in Waco and Breeza Fans in Utica, NE. He enjoyed pheasant hunting, paintball, and was an avid Husker fan. He loved spending time with the grandkids, was very social and always was helping people out. Butch had a great love of life.
He is survived by his wife Shelly of Waco, grandchildren Gabe Jones, Natalie Schalf, both of York, sister Nancy Lee Davis of Semmes, AL, brothers Roger (Connie) Tyler of Fairhope, AL, Donnie (Renee) Dinkelman of Waco, parents-in-law Evelyn (Harold) Mitchusson of Harrisburg, AR, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aunt Minerva Crowder, Uncle Mahlyn Crowder, sisters Louise Murphy, Margo Morrison, brother Danny Hughes.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 8, 2025 at Metz Chapel in York. Inurnment will be at a later date at Waco Cemetery. Darold has been cremated. There is no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
