Daryl Hauck – Metz Mortuary

Daryl William Hauck, age 48, of York, NE, died Monday, May 3, 2021 at York. He was born November 26, 1972 in Lancaster, Massachusetts to Elmer and Mary (Chamberlain) Hauck. On November 23, 1997, Daryl was united in marriage to Sheila Reid in Lincoln, NE. He was a member of the Piedmont Park Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lincoln.

​Daryl worked as a plumber, and he enjoyed health and nutrition. He liked to have “Deep” conversations related to politics and the Bible, and he deeply loved his family.

Daryl is survived by his wife Sheila of York, daughter Lola Hauck of Huntington, West Virginia, sons Daniel (Tracii) Hauck of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Damion Hauck of York, and his daughter Dionna Hauck also of York. He is also survived by his sister Debbie Bell of Hedgesville, West Virginia, and his brother David Hauck of Worcester, Massachusetts.

Daryl is preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law Linda Hauck.

Memorial services are scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Piedmont Park Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lincoln, with the Pastor Michael Halfhill officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation as it was Daryl’s wish to be cremated. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
