Dixie is survived by her son Dave Buchanan of Lincoln, NE; daughter Karleen (Lyle) Chandler of Bella Vista, AR; son Brad (Roberta) Buchanan of Aurora, NE; and daughter Crystal Conroy of Elkhart, IA. She is also survived by her brother Vincent (Ila) Ehlers of Beatrice, NE, sisters Carmen Schroeder of Fairbury, NE, and Lonna Durflinger of Alexandria, NE; 12 cherished grandchildren; 26 adored great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Don and Butch; sisters Marilyn, Glennis, Linda, and Cheryl, and her treasured great-grandchildren Kenzly Renee Railsback and Liam Douglas Zweifel.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Metz Chapel in York. Private family inurnment in the Deshler Cemetery at a later date. It was Dixie’s wish to be cremated so there will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to her family for later designation.
