Dorothy F. Knoll, age 80, of York, died Monday, August 25, 2014 at York. She was born March 4, 1934 in Ogallala, NE to Emil Albert and Meta Dorothy (Sass) Knoll. Dorothy was a teacher and had taught Spanish and J.H. English at Gresham Public School. Prior to that, she taught business classes at the Nebraska Center for Women. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am CST, Friday, August 29, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in York. Graveside services will be at 9:00 am MST, Saturday, August 30, 2014 in the Ogallala Cemetery, Ogallala, NE. Closed casket visitation will be from 5-9 pm Thursday at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Catholic Social Services.
