Eva Mildred Williams, age 90 of York, NE passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 in York. She was born on June 27, 1935 in Ainsworth, NE to Fred and Frances (Wallace) Dodge. She was married to Lloyd Barnes on November 28, 1954 in Ainsworth. Lloyd died on September 1, 1978. She then married Norman E. Williams on June 4, 1983 in York. Norman passed away on September 13, 2022.
Eva is survived by her sons: Randy (Kathy) Barnes of York; Garry (Cindy) Barnes of Vernon, CT; grandchildren: Eric (Karen) Barnes and their daughters Elsie and Sadie of Oneil, NE; Steven (Paige) Barnes of Haigler, NE; Makenna Barnes of Glastonbury, CT; Shelby Barnes of Vernon, CT; stepchildren: Mark (Penny) Williams of Fate, TX; Beth Folts of York; and Jenny (Danny) Scheil of Marquette, NE; step grandchildren: Amber Williams, Cody Williams, Baylee Flores, Brandon Williams, Morgan Williams, Whitney Crawford, Hunter Folts, and Zachary Scheil; brother Floyd Dodge of McPherson, KS; nieces and nephews.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brother Ralph Dodge and his wife Mary, sister Arlene Wood and grandson Ryan Barnes.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the Metz Chapel in York. There will be no graveside service. However, she will be interred at the National Cemetery in Omaha, NE at a later date. Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary in York.
