Frances was a longtime employee at Gresham State Bank. She was a member of the Gresham Presbyterian Church and had served as church treasurer and was a member of the church women’s group. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Frances enjoyed reading, needlework, and attending her grandchildren’s activities.
She is survived by son, Kurt Tobey and wife Lisa of Waco and daughter, Jana and husband Tim Eklund of Davey; grandchildren, Amber (Tobias) Tempelmeyer of Beatrice, Dustin Tobey of Lincoln, Derreck (Angie) Tobey of Elkhorn, Darren (Erica) Tobey of Oxford, Brooke (Kelly) Eklund of Lincoln, Blair (Audra) Eklund of Lincoln, and K. Dane (Jorden) Tobey of Kearney; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Marcia Rhoden of St. Louis, Mo.; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband on Sept. 10, 2014.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014 at the Gresham Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Gresham. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family for Juvenile Diabetes Research.
