Gerald (Jerry) Allen Burke
Gerald (Jerry) Allen Burke age 60 of York, NE went into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Stromsburg, NE. He was born in Two Harbors, MN on September 22, 1952 to Gerald “Ken” and Ethel (Downing) Burke. Jerry was a longtime mechanic working at Penner’s Tire and Auto in York. Jerry lost his battle to cancer at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg.
He is survived by his mother, Ethel Burke of Redwood Falls, MN., his sister, Glenda Kaiser and her husband Gary of York, his brother Gordon Burke and wife Vikki of Redwood Falls, MN. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Brooke Buller, Daniel Boardman, Alexandra and Reva Kaiser all of York, Colton and Jaden Burke and Daniel Smith all of Redwood Falls, MN. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
Memorials services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday January 25, 2013 at the Metz Chapel in York with the Reverend Roger Burke officiating. Private family inurnment to be held at a later date with memorials being directed to the family for later designation.
