He was born Feb. 23, 1952 in York to Carl and Martha (Fuller) Holoch. Greg graduated from York High School in 1970. He was united in marriage to Kristie Holthus on Aug. 5, 1972 in York. The union was blessed with three children: Kylee, Cody and Zachary.
Greg was in the home construction business for over 30 years and Cornerstone Bank Construction for 11 years. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in York where he was a past trustee. He was awarded the Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award. Greg was active in the York baseball program and served on the Cornerstone Baseball Board.
Greg is survived by his wife, Kristie of York; children, Kylee (Doug) Roberts of Lincoln, Cody (Jessica) Holoch of York and Zachary (Courtney) Holoch of York and grandchildren, Palmer Roberts and Hudson, Jackson, and Olivia Holoch.
Greg is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Rich Zulkoski of Greeley, Colo.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kelly and Virginia Holthus of York; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beth and John Godbout of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Amy Holthus of York; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Marcy Holthus of LaJolla, Calif.; aunt Virginia Fuller of York; nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; nieces, Pam Tangdall and Polly Fuller and brother-in-law Kendell Holthus.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Allen Bergstrazer officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation at the mortuary will be from 1-9 p.m. Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in York. Memorials may be directed to the York Community Foundation for York High School students going into the building and trade professions.
