Harold was united in marriage to Darla Way on June 15, 1968 at Geneva. Harold was a carpenter and general handyman. He also owned HB Lawn Service. He enjoyed helping on the farm. He also loved Westerns, bowling, and playing cards. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Darla of York; six sons, Robert Brungardt of York, Michael (Rebecca) Brungardt of York, Melvin (Kelsey) Brungardt of Beatrice, Jerome Brungardt of Lincoln, Timothy Brungardt of York and Christopher Brungardt and his fiancé Tori Ostrich of Beatrice; three daughters, Denise (Jim) Wiedel of Hebron, Nadine (Todd) Allen of Courtland, Kan. and Amber (Calvin) Yelm of York; fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He is also survived by four brothers, Robert (Carol) Brungardt of Fargo, N.D., Tim Brungardt of Hill City, Kan., Edward Brungardt of Deshler, NE, and Kenneth (Kathy) Brungardt of Topeka, KS; two sisters: Linda (Floyd) Thorne of Colorado and Carolyn (Lynn) Withington of Norton, Kan. and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and three sisters.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in York. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation. Cremation, no viewing or visitation.
