Harvey James Robinson – Metz Mortuary

Harvey James “Jim” Robinson, age 66, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at St. Petersburg. He was born September 12, 1954 in Lincoln, NE to Harvey A. and Ruth Irene (McCracken) Robinson. Jim graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1976, with a degree in business, and was formerly a President of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He was also employed at W.R. Grace in Los Angeles as a personnel manager. Jim worked for 24 years at Macy’s Department Store as an auditor.

​In his spare time, he was an antique dealer and one his favorite things to collect was Fiesta Ware. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, outings with friends and family and thoroughly enjoyed his retirement.

Jim is survived by his siblings Susan and Thomas Cunningham of Bloomfield, CO, brother Steven and Barb Robinson of Beaver Crossing, NE, Greg E. Robinson of Virginia Beach, VA., and Cynthia Robinson of North Glenn, CO. Also surviving are three aunts, Margaret McCracken and Doris McCracken both of Seward, NE and Donna Ocken of York. Several nieces, nephew, great nieces and nephews and his cat Panda.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Utica Cemetery in Utica, Nebraska. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to his family for later designation.
