James “Jim” G. Williamson – Metz Mortuary

James “Jim” G. Williamson, age 58, of York, NE, died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at his home in York.  He was born September 14, 1955 at Hastings, NE to James L. and Marvel (Gitt) Williamson.  He graduated from Kearney High School in 1973 and attended Kearney State College.  James and Karen E. Lewis were united in marriage on August 17, 2013 at York.  They resided in York where James was the business manager at McCormick Heating & Air Conditioning.

Survivors include his wife Karen of York; father, James L. Williamson and his friend Maria Davis both of Mesa, AZ; sister, Cindy Williamson of Kansas City, MS; three sons, Bruce Williamson and wife Melissa of Fremont, NE, Marc (Chelsea) Williamson of Kearney, and son, Dustin (Allie) Williamson of Kearney, NE; step-children, Paul Pfeffer of York, Lisa Pfeffer (Michael) of Jacksonville, FL, Eric (Emily) Pfeffer of Columbus, NE and Andrea (Chris) Pfeffer of Columbus. Eight Grandchildren.

James is preceded in death by his mother; cousin, Scott Scheidegger; and aunt, Dee Cassell.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 6, 2014 at the Metz Chapel in York. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials to the family for later designation.
