    Jennie Lee Friesen Peters Kliewer, age 82, died Sunday, January 20, 2019, in Newton, Kansas. She was born January 8, 1937, in Henderson, Nebraska, to Gus O. and Nettie Friesen.  Jennie married Wayne A. Peters on October 5, 1956. They were married until his death on December 29, 1985. She was married to Albert Kliewer on December 17, 2005. They were married until his death on August 20, 2011. She was a member of Bethesda Mennonite Church.
     
    Jennie enjoyed family and friends, working outside (especially on her lawn and flower garden), roughhousing with her grandchildren, and great-granddaughter, and numerous hobbies. Jennie was a collector of a variety of things, and was also something of a car enthusiast.
     
    She is survived by her daughters, Becky (DeWayne) Voth of Hillsboro, KS, Denise (Norman) Critchfield of Hesston, KS, and Tammy Peters of Washington, DC; grandchildren include, Jeremy Voth of Hillsboro, KS, Cameron (Addi) Voth of North Newton, KS, Kendall (Courtney) Critchfield of Hesston, KS, and Michelle Critchfield of Hesston, KS; and great-granddaughter, Collins Ann Voth. She is also survived by siblings Julie Kasper of Topeka, KS, Shirley (Wally) Friesen of Henderson, NE,; siblings-in-law Adeline (John) Huebert, Arlyce (Myron) Friesen, Lowell (Iris) Peters, and Homer (Ruth) Peters [all of Henderson, NE], Maylon (Judy) Peters of Kalispell, MT; and five step-children and six step-grandchildren.
     
    She is preceded in death by husband Wayne A. Peters, husband Albert Kliewer, brothers-in-law Virgil Erb and Ron Kasper, parents Gus and Nettie Friesen, parents-in-law Arnold and Lenora Peters, a step-son, and several other cousins and extended family members.
     
    Graveside services are scheduled for 9:15 a.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Bethesda Cemetery north of Henderson. Memorial services will follow at 10:00 a.m., at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. Visitation will be from 1-9:00 p.m., Tuesday and then all day Wednesday with her family greeting friends from 6-7:30 p.m., later that evening at the mortuary in Henderson. Memorials may be directed to the Bethesda Radio Broadcast.
