JoAnn G. Creamer, age 88 of York, NE, died Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in York. She was born on February 22, 1938, to John and Gladys (Smith) Grasmick in Scottsbluff, NE. On September 24, 1960, she was united in marriage to Edmond David Creamer in Omaha, NE.
JoAnn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in York, where she worked as the church secretary, and attended the Methodist Church. She was a volunteer with Friends of the Library at Kilgore Memorial Library in York. JoAnn was a long-time quilter and a beautiful seamstress.
She is survived by her children, David (Janet) Creamer of Riverside, CA, and Lynne (Dion) Shedd of Bellevue, NE, grandchildren Isabelle Creamer of Fort Collins, CO, Luke Creamer of Riverside, CA, and Ethan Shedd of Bellevue, NE, and sister Karen Fauer of Macon, GA.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Gary Grasmick.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the Metz Chapel in York. A private family inurnment will be held in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. It was JoAnn’s wishes to be cremated; there will be no viewing or visitation. Memorial gifts in JoAnn’s honor may be directed to Friends of the Library, 520 N.
