JoAnn Lamp

JoAnn Mildred Lamp, age 92 of York, NE died on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Henderson, NE. She was born on December 11, 1930 in Le Mars, Iowa to Henry and Edna (Carpenter) Braband. On July 3, 1949, she was united in marriage to Arman Lamp in Round Lake, MN. They later divorced.

JoAnn was a waitress at Chances R for many years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved the outdoors, sewing, and playing cards.

She is survived by her children: Jan (Jim) Morris of Benedict, NE, Kevin (Debbie) Lamp of Northome, MN, Dana (Greg) Hoover of Redmond, OR, Lindy (Dave) Hoffman of Henderson, NE, Lori Tauer of Harrison, AR, and Damon (Barbara) Lamp of Harrison, AR, 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, infant daughter Kay Valencia Lamp, and two sisters Marian and Margie.

JoAnn has been cremated. No viewing. Visitation and family will greet friends on Friday September 29, 2023 from 6-7:30 pm at Metz Mortuary in York. Private family services.  Memorials may be directed to Legacy Square in Henderson.
