John P. Glassburner, age 88 of Geneva, NE died Wednesday, February 4, 2026 in Geneva. He was born September 12, 1937 in Dunlap, IA to Frank John and Elsie Mabel (Keairnes) Glassburner.
John was a long time gun dealer and was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, spending time with his family and friends but most of all, he was proud of sponsoring other members of the Alcoholics Anonymous group.
He is survived by his sons; John Michael (Debbie) Glassburner of Waverly, NE and Tony (Shelle) Glassburner of Kansas City, MO and his step-son Mike (Jolene) Freeman of Ainsworth, NE. Also surviving is his brother Jerry Glassburner of Aurora, NE
Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, his son Chuck and granddaughter Ashley.
It was John’s wish to donate his body to science so there will be no services at this time. Private family inurnment at a later date. Memorials made be directed to his family for later designation.
