John Sullivan – Metz Mortuary

John Dale Sullivan age 58 of Fairbury, NE died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Lincoln, NE. He was born April 19, 1959 in York to Daniel E. and Elsie (Dickey) Sullivan. He served his country for several years in the Army and then worked for many years in the construction industry.  Currently he worked as a caregiver for an autistic child in Fairbury, and was an avid football fan and card player.

John is survived by his son Jesse Sullivan of Boston, MA, daughter Caitlin Sullivan of Boston, MA, and mother Elsie Sullivan of Waco, NE. He is also survived by his siblings Kathy (Joe) Ruzicka of Seward, NE, Patty McCord of Guernsey, WY, Michael Sullivan of Lincoln, Daniel Sullivan of Kansas City, MO, Chris (Tom Hill) Bohaty of Lincoln, NE, Peggy Hanson of Spicer, MN, Julie (Todd) Raridon of Plainfield, IL, and Kelly (Brad) Whiteley of Lincoln, NE; Former sister-in-law Carol Sullivan Higgins of Giltner, NE, several nieces and nephews; special friends Sandy Reed and Johnny Lucas, both of Fairbury, NE. He is preceded in death by his father and brother Joe.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, May 25, 2018 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in York with the Reverend Monsignor James Reinert officiating. A Rosary Service will be said one hour prior to services at the church. Inurnment will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Cremation, No Viewing or Visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials are directed to the family for later designation.
