Justin L. Sternberg, age 47 of Waco, NE died on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Waco. He was born May 23, 1976 to Harvey Lee and Linda (Abresch) Sternberg in York, NE. Justin was a York County farmer. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Gresham. Justin had a passion for cooking and sharing his love of food with others. He also enjoyed golfing and ice fishing.
He is survived by his mother Linda (Duane) Schroeder of Yankton, SD, brother Jason (Melisa) Sternberg of Lincoln, NE, stepbrothers Troy Schroeder and friend Brooke Liberty of Firth, NE and Corey Schroeder of Springfield, South Dakota. He is also survived by his aunt Carolyn (Lew) Nielsen of Stromsburg, NE and aunt Beverly (Ken) Nelson of Lincoln, uncle Dewaine Abresch of York, nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Thursday, October 26, 2023 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Gresham, NE with the Reverend Lee Seetin officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Gresham. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1-8 pm, with family greeting friends that evening from 6-7:30 pm at Metz Mortuary.
