She was born June 6, 1943 in York to Donald J. and Vivian F. (Johnson) McCall. Karen worked in the housekeeping department at the Hearthstone for several years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in York, Altar Society, AA and the Fairmont American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and family gatherings. She was always the happiest when helping others.
Karen is survived by her siblings, Marylee McCall of Parker, Colo., Janet (Ron) Ratzlaff of York, Larry (Dorothy) McCall of York, Linda (Kenneth) Myers of Beatrice and Loretta (Terry) Ratzlaff of Auburn; one sister-in-law, Shirley McCall of York; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and special loved ones William, Dylan and Charles Clabaugh. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill McCall; nieces, Mindy S. Myers Baehr and Ellie Ann McCall.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 13, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in York. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, York. A Rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday morning, prior to the Mass. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the mortuary. The family will greet friends from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
