Kathryn Friesen
Kathryn Sarah Hershberger Friesen was born April 4, 1923 to David and Anna (Stauffer) Hershberger on a farm near Milford, Nebraska. She passed away on January 27, 2012 at the age of 88, at her home in Rosewood Court, Henderson, Nebraska. On June 11, 1943 she was united in marriage to Elwin Friesen and they were together 65 years.
Survivors include her son Alan and Cindy Friesen of Lincoln; daughters: Roma and Phil Epp of Lincoln, Susan and Homer Friesen of Henderson, and Kathy and Doug Kroeker of Lincoln, ten grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren; three brothers: Harlan and Berniece Hershberger, Roy and Darlene Hershberger, and David and MaryAnn Hershberger; two sisters: Mary and Gerald Stutzman and Phyllis and Dale Philson; and five sisters-in-law: Vira Hershberger, Elda Friesen, Sadie Friesen, Amy Friesen, and MayBelle Janzen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elwin, one great-granddaughter Lily Kathryn Epp, and one brother Reaford Hershberger.
Graveside services will be held at 9:15 am at Bethesda Cemetery, Henderson, January 31, 2012 with Memorial Services to follow at Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson at 10:00 am. Visitation will be on Monday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with family greeting friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday evening at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to Bethesda Radio Fund or Henderson Health Care Services.
