Kathryn Hilderbrand – Metz Mortuary

Kathryn “Kay” G. Hilderbrand, age 76 of York, NE died Friday, August 21, 2020 at Omaha, NE. She was born October 25, 1943 to Paul and Velma (Whiteford) Tannahill in Bell, California. On April 15, 1967, she was united in marriage to Bobby Gene Hilderbrand in Las Vegas, NV. Kay was a foster mom and had also worked for Martin Luther Homes. She was always up for an adventure and loved to go on family vacations.

She is survived by her children: Jeana Hilderbrand of York, Jeremiah Hilderbrand of York, Anthony (April) Hilderbrand of Montana, Tiffany Jones of York, Ashley (Nathan) Young of Montana, and Sara Galloway of York; her grandchildren include: Christopher Martin, Christina Shepherd, Jasmine Mendoza, Preston Hilderbrand, Savanneh Galloway, Ashtyn Galloway, and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Beverly (Kayo) Staples and Doniece Lacy, both of California and one brother George Whiteford of Kansas, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Merlin Tannahill, and son-in-law Dean Martin.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Friday, August 28, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery, York. Cremation. No viewing or visitation. COVID 19 Funeral Guidelines will be implemented with social distancing and masks encouraged. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
