She was born Oct. 29, 1995 at Grand Island to Daniel and Melissa (Sloan) Allbee. Katie had been a student at York Public Schools Enrichment Center. She had a special fondness for dolphins and enjoyed sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings. Katie was a devoted mother, enjoyed being with her family and friends and was a source of courage to all who knew her.
Left to mourn are her daughter Karlie Ray Allbee of York; parents, Melissa Allbee of York and Dan (Juli) Allbee of Stromsburg; half brother, D.J. Allbee of Stromsburg; and half sister Rachael Allbee of Stromsburg.
Also surviving are grandparents, Deb and Dale Sloan of York, Darrell Allbee of York, Deb (Lenny) Deal of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Deb Stephens of Aurora; special friend, Trey Wrich; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends. Katie was preceded in death by her grandfather David Stephens.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at Metz Chapel in York. Katie will be cremated following the service and inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. on Friday at Metz Mortuary. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
