L. Robert Goodridge – Metz Mortuary

L. Robert “Bob” Goodridge, age 75 of Bradshaw, NE died Sunday, January 23, 2022 at his home. He was born on February 24, 1946 to Harry Ronald and Alma (Seamands) Goodridge in York, NE. He was a young athlete and attended two years of college on a football scholarship before leaving school to proudly serve as a member of the United States Navy for four years. While in service he married Dorothy “Evelyn” Joyner on April 4, 1969 in Meridian, MS and started his family.

​Employment with Ozark/TWA Airlines brought them to St. Louis where he lived until retirement. He then returned to his hometown of Bradshaw where he settled and stayed active in his community. He enjoyed his many friends and loved his life there.

Bob loved reading and had many books to show for it. He was extremely knowledgeable on his favorite subject of history and traveled to many of these places he learned about to experience them in person. Bob loved watching sports (football, baseball, basketball, and boxing) and enjoyed watching NASCAR and Indy races.  He also enjoyed listening to music and had a huge love and interest for the railroad and trains.

He is survived by his children Robert Goodridge, Angela (Darin) Dillaha, Evelyn Darlene Shaulis, and Ronald DeWayne Shaulis, and grandchildren Clara Dillaha and Justine Dillaha, all of St. Charles County, MO. He is also survived by his former wife Dorothy Evelyn Goodridge also of St. Charles County, MO.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Bob has been cremated. No viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
