Linda Joy (Risden) Moffatt, age 62, of York, NE passed away peacefully at home on May 8, 2025. Linda was born July 18, 1962 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to Darwin J. and Bette A. (Alderson) Risden. She married Ben Stutzman in 1981 in Grand Island, NE. They were blessed with one daughter, Tara (Stutzman) Peek. She later married Don Moffatt in York, NE on July 6, 2007 and was married for 18 years.
Linda was passionate about camping ad mushroom hunting and loved spending time with her husband Don.
She is survived by her husband Don Moffatt of York; her father Darwin Risden of Grand Island; daughter Tara Peek of Holton, KS; sister Ronda (Robert) Sealock of Hastings; brother David (Kris) Risden of Hemet, CA; sister Diane (Albert) DeLeon of Grand Island; sister Donna (Aaron) Jones of Aurora; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and infant brother.
At Linda’s request there are no services planned. It was Linda’s wishes to be cremated there will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
