    Mahlon Dewane Eck, age 85 of Henderson, NE, died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Henderson. He was born August 28, 1933 to Frank A. and Susie (Johnson) Eck at Meno, Oklahoma. On April 27, 1956, he was united in marriage to Jennie Peters in Henderson. Mahlon was a lifelong farmer in Clay, York, and Hamilton Counties. He enjoyed woodworking, camping and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

    Mahlon is survived by his wife Jennie of Henderson, sons Nathan (Sally) Eck and Anthony Joe Eck of Henderson, daughters Joy (Frank) Steckly of Beaver Crossing, NE and Dawn (Marty) Meinzer of York, NE; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, sister-in-law Rose Eck of Tulsa, OK, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and five sisters.

    Graveside services will be held at 9:15 am, Friday, February 22, 2019 at Bethesda Cemetery, Henderson. Memorial services will follow at 10:00 am, at Bethesda Mennonite Church, Henderson with the Reverend Seth Miller officiating.

    Visitation will be held from 1-9:00 p.m., on Thursday and then with her family present from 7-8:30 p.m., later that same evening at the mortuary in Henderson.Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
