Marcia I. Blender, age 72 of Lincoln, NE died Thursday, July 9, 2026 in York, NE. She was born on February 18, 1954 to Everett E. and Helen I. (Bush) Blender in Osceola, NE.
Marcia worked as an administrative assistant at Southeast Community College in Lincoln, NE for 40 years. She enjoyed gardening, watching squirrels, birds and just loving nature. She had owned race horses for 30 years, and spent a lot of time with them. Marcia was a nice, caring person, liked by a lot of people, and had never met a stranger.
She is survived by her brother Kent (Linda) Blender of Benedict, NE, nieces and nephews Christina Schoenholz, children Tyson and Jaxon of Stromsburg, NE, Deric (Kassie) Blender, children Brya and Lennox of Tekamah, NE, Hannah Blender of Lincoln, NE, many cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, significant other Jerry Cole, great nephew Zander Schoenholz.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Arborville Church south of Polk, NE with JayDee Scamehorn officiating. Inurnment to follow at Polk’s Arborville Cemetery. Marcia has been cremated. There is no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
