    Marjorie “Marge” Stickelman
    Marjorie “Marge” A. Stickelman, age 93, of York, NE died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Lincoln, NE. She was born on November 8, 1924 to Hazel O. (Craig) and Don W. Lyne in Superior, NE. Marge graduated from Superior High School in 1942 and then attended Colorado Women’s College. On June 9, 1952, she was united in marriage to Joseph R. Stickelman in Superior.

    Marge was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was involved with the Women’s Circle, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also very involved in community activities such as: Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Blood Mobile, Election Board, Meals on Wheels, York Senior Center, York Fun Club, and the Yorkshire Playhouse. She enjoyed bowling, loved playing bridge, china painting, and was an antique collector (glassware/crystal). She appreciated having conversation with people and enjoying nature, especially hummingbirds.

    She is survived by her children: Chat (Kellie) Stickelman of Wheatridge, CO, Kim (Michael) Schwartzman of Peculiar, MO, Megan (Alun) Buttermore of Salem, SC, Lori Stickelman of Lincoln, NE, and Kyle (Barb) Stickelman of Laramie, WY; six grandchildren: Torrey (Ally) Stickelman of Littleton, CO, Elissa Buttermore of Sacramento, CA, Nathan (Elizabeth) Buttermore of Dedham, MA, Aaron (Xiomarie) Buttermore of Lakenheath, Suffolk, United Kingdom, Addie Schwartzman of Lincoln, NE, and Colby Stickelman of Laramie, WY; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

    Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 25, 2018 at Evergreen Cemetery, Superior, NE. No Visitation, Cremation. Memorials may be directed to York Adopt-A-Pet (1521 N. Lincoln Ave., York, NE 68467) or to Superior Auditorium Historic Redevelopment Corporation (PO Box 96, Superior, NE 68978). The family will gather for a time of remembrance and refreshments following the service at the Superior Auditorium.
