She was born Aug. 23, 1939 at Watertown, S.D. to Arnold and Olga (Halmerst) Buelow.
Marlene graduated from Watertown High School in 1957. Being an avid horse lover she loved riding horses, going to horse shows and was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. She enjoyed sewing and was involved in 4-H.
She is survived by her sons, Terry Tobin of York and Kevin Tobin of Sioux Falls, S.D. Her grandsons include, Dustin (Tomi) Tobin, Cody (Tisha) Tobin and Caleb Tobin all of York. Also surviving is her brother, Alan (Jeannie) Buelow of Watertown, S.D. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dee Maples; one brother and one sister.
Memorial graveside services will be held at a later date in St John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Rauville, S.D. Memorials may be directed to the family.
