    Martin Lynn Workman, age 66 of York, NE died Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at York. He was born August 5, 1954 in Humboldt, NE to Harold and Betty (Mullins) Workman. Martin worked and recently retired from Platte Valley Communications in York after 24 years. He enjoyed hunting with muzzle loaders, riding with the Christian Motorcycle Association, playing his guitar and sports photography. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. 

    Martin is survived by his wife Nita of York, son Matt (Lexie) Workman of Council Bluffs, IA, and step-daughter Lexi Hoeft of York. He is also survived by his grandchildren Chloe Koch, Jeff Koch, Stormy Hoeft, Winter Koch, and Damon Hoeft; great-grandchildren Sedona and Verity. His sisters include Ilene (Paul) Huffman of Sabetha, KS, Sharyl (Frank) Dort of Hot Springs, AR, Leah (James) Cochenour of Morrill, KS, Rhoda (Alan) Cox of Sabetha, KS, Diana (Mike) Richey of Sabetha, KS, and Darla (Mike) Peters of Parkville, MO.  

    He was preceded in death by his parents, and his step-daughter Dana Koch.

    Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church in York with the Reverend Dr. Michael Eickhoff officiating. Martin’s service will be webcast live on Metz Mortuary’s Facebook Page. Cremation. No viewing or visitation. Memorials may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church, York. 

    COVID 19 Funeral Guidelines will be implemented with masks required.
