She was born Oct. 25, 1961 in Hebron to Carl and Ruth (Boyd) Baloun. Mary was a member of the Eagles Club in York, enjoyed trap shooting, trucking, traveling and camping. She loved re-arranging her home, attending Community Bible Church in Lushton and spending time with her family was a large part of her life. Halloween with haunted houses was a favorite time of year for her. Mary skydived and loved driving around in her corvette.
On Feb. 29, 2000 she was married to Richard Hallett at their home in Lushton.
She is survived by husband, Richard “Dick” of Lushton, three daughters, Heather (Mike) Stadler of Beaver City, Mallory Sittler of Stromsburg and Bridget (Mike) Yoder of Henderson; sons, Paul (Deb) Hallett of Geneva, Rick (Jennifer) Hallett of Lincoln and Travis Hallett of York; 26 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Also surviving is her mother, Ruth Boyd of York; brothers, Steve Baloun and Carl Baloun both of York; three sisters, Sue (Mark) Watts of Madison, Kan., Carol (Ken) Ackerman of York and Wanda (Dennis) Driewer of rural Hampton, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father and her in-laws, Lionel and Mary Ackland.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017 at the Community Bible Church in Lushton with the Reverend Solomon Adams officiating. It was Mary’s wish to be cremated so there will be no viewing or visitation.
Memorials may be sent to the family for later designation.
