    Milton F. Bristol age 86 of York, died Sunday, April 9, 2006 at Franklin, NE. He was born May 4, 1919 south of Waco, NE to Oswald Christian and Minnie (Schilling) Bristol. He served in the Army Air Corp from February of 1942 until December of 1945. He was a long-time farmer in the York County area. Milton was married to Betty J. Morris on March 1 1, 1943. She died on August 1 1, 1990 and on December 28, 1996 he was married to Iona Gray at McCool Jct., NE. He was a lifelong member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church at Waco where he taught Sunday School and served as Superintendent. He was a member of the Waco Volunteer Fire Department, serving as secretary-treasurer for many years. Milton was a member of the York County Fair Board, a 4-H leader, a volunteer at the Veteran’s Hospital in Lincoln, and a member of the Board of Directors for the MLH at Beatrice. He was a member of the Utica American Legion Post 49 where he served as commander and was an active member of the honor guard. Milton loved farming but had many other interests as well. He enjoyed landscaping and growing flowers especially Gladiola’s and Daffodils. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed bowling, traveling swimming and trips with the York Fun Club. He loved watching his children and grandchildren in their many activities.

    Left to cherish his memory are his wife Iona of York; children, Morris and his wife Marsha Bristol of Beaver Crossing, NE; Mary Bristol of Waco, Lydia and her husband Dave Stuehm of Hildreth, NE, Doug and his wife Donna Bristol of Eagle, NE; stepchildren, James Gray of Albany, NY, Douglas and his wife Barbara Gray of Springfield, OH, Cheryl Gray of Westminster, CO; grandchildren, Christina and her husband Nate Payne of Seward, NE, Kimberly Bristol of Crawford, NE, Jennifer Bristol of Lincoln, Mary and her husband Seth Johnson of Kenesaw, Laurel Stuehm of Franklin, Christian Stuehm and Robert Stuehm both of Hildreth, Jeff Paulsen of Lincoln, Scott Prochnow of Staplehurst, NE, Ryan and his wife Crystal Prochnow of Seward, Matthew and his wife Andrea Gray of New Carlisle, OH, Katherine Jo Gray and Diane Gray both of Springfield, OH.
    Great-grandchildren, Brandon and Shalyn Prochnow of Staplehurst, NE, Shelby and Riley Prochnow of Seward, Samuel Payne of Seward. Also surviving is his brother Richard and his wife Irma Bristol of Aurora, NE, brother-in-law Don Dahlgren of York and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, two brothers, one sister, two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.

    Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the Metz Chapel in York with the Reverend Michael Laing officiating. Interment will follow at the Ebenezer Cemetery south of Waco. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to the family.
