    M. Lorraine Bamesberger age 88 of Aurora, NE died Friday, May 2, 2008 at Aurora. She was born February 24, 1920 at Hampton, NE to John Herman and Olga (Madsen) Hansen and was a member of St Peter’s Lutheran Church at Hampton.

    Lorraine was a former co-owner of Bamesberger Welding at Hampton along with her husband for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Hampton Legion Auxiliary #141. She was also very active in the Girl Scouts as well. She and her husband enjoyed their retirement home at Park Rapids, Minnesota for over eight years after his retirement.

    On August 27, 1941 she was married to Merle Bamesberger at Hampton.

    She is survived by two sons, Roger and his wife Bonnie Bamesberger of Hampton and Gene Bamesberger of Denver, Co. Two daughters Candyce and her husband Peter Widness of Sarasota, FL and Beth and her husband Dan Alberts of Lincoln. Seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

    Also surviving are three brothers, E.H. “Bud” and his wife Maxine Hansen of Hampton, Neil and his wife Mary Hansen of Shawnee Mission, KS, and Larry and Eunice Hansen of Hampton. There sisters Evelyn Pohl of Hampton, Frances Danielsen of Omaha and Janelle and her husband Pete Petersen also of Omaha. One brother in law Melvin Kamtz of Loveland, CO.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her sister Donna Kamtz.

    Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at St Peter’s Lutheran Church at Hampton, NE with the Reverend Randall J. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Hampton Public Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to “Fill the Bus” at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m., Monday evening at St Peters Lutheran Church and then again Tuesday morning from 9:00 until service time.
