Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in York with the Rev. Terry Cosier officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in York. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m., Sunday at Metz Mortuary. The family will be present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
She was born April 16, 1913, in Orchard to Claude E. and Edith B. (Sharp) Sloane. On May 7, 1932, she married Elmer Tonniges in Hershey. He preceded her in death. On Dec. 30, 1979, she married to Alfred Burhoop in York. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Gale of York, Ron of Utica, Dennis of Stuart, Fla., and Randy of Kearney; daughters, Wilma Miller of McAllen, Texas, Shirley Wolstenholm of Prior Lake, Minn., and Sharon Gibb of Aurora; 28 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
