She was born Feb. 23, 1952 at Falls City to Virgil and Pauline (Scroogs) McWain. She was united in marriage to Robert Peppie on Oct. 31, 2008 in York. Nancy enjoyed being outdoors, doing yard work and gardening. Family was important to her and being involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her greatest joy. Nancy also had two special cats she loved to spoil.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Peppie of Gresham; sons, Alan Morava of York and Daniel (Mandy) Nissen of Utica; six grandchildren, Jade, Victorya, Donovan, Danielle, Dylan and Dalaina; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Maliyan and Caylee. Nancy is also survived by her siblings, Larry (Trish) McWain of Sun City, Ariz., Chuck (Diane) McWain of Clarks, Joyce (Ken) Taylor of Colorado Springs, Colo., Lynn (Tom) Eickhoff of Mission, Texas and Ellen Weyer of Ainsworth along with several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Brian; brother, Marvin “Butch” Williams and step-mother, Viola.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Metz Mortuary Chapel in York, with the Reverend Ben Kaiser officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
