Nancy R. Cohagan, age 88 of McCool Junction, NE died Thursday, February 19, 2026 in York, NE. She was born on January 18, 1938 to Elmer and Ruth Mae (Pinneo) Williamsen in Exeter, NE. On April 25, 1959 she was united in marriage to Marlan Cohagan in York.
Nancy was a long-time member of Great Plains Community Church in Goehner, NE. She worked as a housekeeper at York General Hospital. She was an expert seamstress and loved cooking.
Nancy is survived by her husband Marlan “Mugs” of McCool Junction, son Dan Hofferber of York, brother Bill Williamsen of York, sister Sharon Wells of Michigan, sisters-in-law Loree Irmer, and Karen Doran, special friend Kathy Eidenmiller and family of Lincoln, NE, also leaving behind many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and four sisters.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Metz Chapel in York, with Reverend Scott Olson officiating. Inurnment will follow in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m. Monday, March 9, with the family greeting friends from 6-7:30 p.m., that evening, all at Metz Mortuary. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
