Rita L. Critel
Rita Lorraine Critel, age 70, of York, NE, died Monday, June 10, 2019 at York, NE. She was born October 17, 1948 in Central City, NE to Robert and Agnes (Christensen) Spencer. On November 26, 1967, she was married to Boyd Lee Critel in Central City, NE. Rita worked for several years as a hair dresser and a bus driver. She volunteered with Blue Valley Community Action, was involved with the Red Hatters, and enjoyed leather crafts.
She is survived by her children: Dallas Critel, Stacy Shipps, Cindy (Chris) Critel, and Michelle Potter (Jimmy Stevens Jr.) all of York. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Jessica Gibson of York, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, brothers: Charles (Brenda) Spencer of Benedict, Roger (Teri) Spencer of Polk, sisters: Delores Mason of Michigan, Louise (Craig) Penna of Nevada, and Janet (Jack) Schneider of Grand Island, NE, several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Cody, and special friend Mavis Neville.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, June 17, 2019 at Metz Chapel, York. Private inurnment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, York. No visitation, cremation. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
