Rita M. Wadewitz, age 62 of York, NE died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at York. She was born September 22, 1951 at Kankakee, IL to William and Margaret (Garrett) Price. Rita drove a school bus in Illinois and Arkansas for many years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Aurora, NE. Crocheting, gardening, camping and fishing were some of her many interests. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and cherished family gatherings.
Rita is survived by her husband George Wadewitz of York; four daughters, Michelle Hale of Ohio, Denise (Daniel) Parrett of Omaha, NE, Jennifer (Jason) Reiniche of Kankakee, IL, and Victoria Gilbert of Benedict, NE; son Justin Gilbert of Omaha, NE; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald Eugene Price of Kankakee.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother Robert, and son Christopher Preston.
Memorials services will be held at 6:30 pm Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Aurora, NE. Private family inurnment. Cremation/no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
